2011 AACRAO Technology Conference:
Opening New Portals and Frontiers to Student Information

The AACRAO Technology Conference brings together technology practitioners and managers from the offices of:

  • Central IT Departments Supporting Student Services

Over the past six years the conference has averaged over 400 attendees, who come to share ideas, information, and solutions on the practical application of technology in support of student services.

Important Information

  • Just Announced! Brian Kelly, Editor of U.S. News Media Group, will deliver the closing plenary presentation at the Technology Conference. Over the past several years, Kelly has led the transformation of U.S. News from a traditional print newsmagazine to a multimedia publishing company with a range of print and digital products serving consumer information needs.
  • Registrar 101/FERPA Preconference Workshop We are offering a two-part Registrar 101 and FERPA Workshop immediately preceding the Technology Conference. This two-day workshop [July 9 and 10] will provide an overview of the profession and its daily responsibilities, a network of contacts, and sources of information for future guidance.   • Registrar Forum @ Tech Held in conjunction with the Technology Conference, The Registrar Forum @ Tech is a dedicated, pre-conference set of sequential sessions that will be offered on Saturday evening (July 9) and during the day on Sunday (July 10). The Forum will challenge registrars to consider the principles of our work, the current environment in which we operate, the tools we use or should be using, and the opportunities (and challenges) that technology affords.
